Why I Started TAM Fundraising
TAM Fundraising is my way of helping changemakers like you to find, approach, and get funding from donors, philanthropists, government agencies, corporate sponsors, and more.
It takes time and effort to build and sustain fundraising and development programs. Not everyone has the time, energy, or the experience to do this work.
Nor can everyone afford to hire a full-time grant writer, or a fundraiser, or a development professional.
TAM Fundraising lets you hire a practitioner, when you need one.

What Motivates Me
Rewind to 2007. It was the year that I first volunteered for a charity.
Once a week, I helped refugee children from across the world with their homework. Funded through donations and grants, this program served as a lifeline for many refugee families who had fled war and persecution.
It was a immense privilege to play a small part in their journey.
Two years went by in a flash, and I happened upon another volunteering role in the same organization.
This one was a little different. It was a grant writing role.
As a social sciences undergraduate student who aspired to become a researcher, I thought it could be interesting. No harm in having a go...
It was my introduction to the world of fundraising and philanthropy. And, it was way more satisfying than I ever expected.
Since then, I've had the privilege to work in different fundraising, development, project and administrative roles in Australia, the UK and New Zealand.
I found myself specializing in grant writing, and worked on some amazing projects that received vital funding.
I also had the opportunity to work in development and put my skills to use as a prospect researcher.
The last decade has been both rewarding and challenging, professionally and personally.
Following some changes in 2019, including a life-altering autism diagnosis, I have re-evaluated and readjusted my life.
Now living in Portugal, I've returned to supporting nonprofits and changemakers like you.
Why?
Because, at heart, I believe in the power of change from community.
And, as societies and cultures rapidly shift in the face of climate change, stubbornly entrenched inequalities, regional conflicts, and rapid technological advancement, local changemakers are more important than ever.
You are the glue that keeps communities together.
